Joining Dartmouth College

Starting this fall I joined the Dartmouth College faculty as a visiting lecturer for this academic year. I am really excited about this new experience, and particularly in consideration of the classes I will teach (Sonic Arts, Sound Design, Orchestration). The Music Department has a very interesting Master program in Digital Music. (more info here:

Other faculty at Dartmouth includes Michael Casey and Spencer Topel.

Working on Seamus Heaney’s project

For my Cursus 2 project at Ircam, I have had the opportunity to read a lot of Seamus Heaney’s poems. I first heard Heaney at a talk while at Harvard, and I was struck by his capacity of welcoming you in his world. I fell in love with some of his poems precisely for their capacity of communicating something fresh and ancient at the same time, which could describe much of who I am. A characteristic that I find difficult to find today in a lot of contemporary arts/literature. It is unfortunate that he passed away as my project was developing, but I am thankful of having had the chance to see him speaking, and to have met his works.

Here you can find a few of his poems:
